The Sunlight Green Bar has been a trusted favorite for generations, but MullenLowe South Africa saw an opportunity to connect with the next generation in a way that speaks their language – music and culture.
Enter #AddYourOwnBarWithSunlight: a rap challenge that turned the iconic green bar into a lyrical muse. With some of South Africa’s top rappers and creative youth leading the charge, the campaign took over TikTok and Instagram, sparking a wave of 121 original rap bars—that’s over 6 hours of music celebrating Sunlight’s versatility.
The impact? 30M+ views and a brand moment that resonated beyond the laundry room.
