Budget Direct has aired its latest blockbuster commercial via agency 303 MullenLowe, featuring a mighty meteor which crashes to the ground and barrels through the city in a chaotic sequence of remarkable near misses.

In the spot Sarge, Jacs and Chief take a break in their trusty red Jag when Sarge, engrossed in ‘The Joy of Astronomy’, predicts Earth is due for a visit. Right on cue, a mighty meteor crashes to the ground and barrels through the city in a chaotic sequence of remarkable near misses.

The meteor rolls down a hill towards a house, where Chief leaps into action, heroically distracting the homeowner just in time to move him out of harm’s way. Moments later the meteor smashes into his car and house. As the homeowner marvels at his luck, Jacs retrieves his insurance policies from the debris, to deliver the good news, “Even better! Your car and home insurance is sorted!” Sarge clearly knows why, as he concludes with a knowing smile: “It’s good you’re with Budget Direct.”
